At Donais Studios and RISE Children’s Choir, we believe something very simple — and very profound:

Your voice is deeply connected to who you are. 

 

It’s not just something you use—it’s a reflection of your identity, your emotions, and your energy. 

 

Whether you’re singing, speaking, laughing, crying, or even whispering, it’s all one voice. 

 

And learning how to use that voice—how to feel comfortable, confident with it, and in control—is a gift that extends far beyond the music studio or choir rehearsal.

 

Unlike other instruments, singers are their instrument. 

 

We carry our voices with us every moment of every day. 

 

And while not every voice student or choir member will pursue a career in music, each and every one of them will encounter moments in life where their voice matters.

 

  • There will be speeches to give.
  • Toasts to share.
  • Interviews to navigate. 
  • Boardrooms and courtrooms.
  • Presentations, debates, and pitch meetings.

They discover how pitch, inflection, and breath work together. 

 

They learn how to communicate emotion and meaning through tone and phrasing.

Week after week, they practice showing up, taking risks, and expressing themselves with courage.

 

Yes, choir is about music. 

 

But it is also about so much more. 

 

It’s about preparing young artists—and people of all ages—for the moments in life when they need to stand tall, take a breath, and share their voice with confidence.
