About The Artist Within Academy
The Artist Within Academy is more than a voice lessons program – it’s a creative home for singers to grow, express, and thrive.
Rooted in excellence and guided by heart, our academy offers personalized, one-on-one instruction in a supportive, encouraging environment where every singer is seen, heard, and celebrated.
Here, we believe that learning to sing is about more than just technique – it’s about unlocking the voice within. We nurture each artist’s unique sound while helping them build confidence, deepen their musicianship, and discover the joy of authentic self-expression. Through inspiring lessons, performance opportunities, and a vibrant community, our students are empowered to show up with conviction, commitment, and connection – both on stage and in life.

Program Details
LESSON STRUCTURE
At the heart of The Artist Within Academy is our vibrant Private Voice Lessons Program – a nurturing, empowering space where singers of all ages and experience levels can explore, grow, and shine.
Voice lessons are offered through weekly one-on-one sessions, providing personalized instruction tailored to each singer’s unique voice, goals, and musical interests. The 2025/2026 season runs for 34 weeks, from September 2025 through June 2026, offering consistency, structure, and time to develop strong vocal foundations.
INSTRUCTORS
Amelia DePiero, our lead voice instructor, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for teaching that inspires confidence, curiosity, and joy in every lesson.
In addition, Andrea Donais and Lian Senior offer vocal coaching throughout the season in the form of masterclasses and workshop experiences, giving students additional opportunities to refine their skills, connect with others, and deepen their artistry.
Our program is further enhanced by Asher Farber, our collaborative pianist in residence, who provides accompaniment for student concert and events – helping singers experience the thrill and support of live performance.
Students in our voice program will:
- Develop foundational musicianship skills, including music reading and ear training.
- Explore age-appropriate vocal technique, healthy singing habits, and repertoire.
- Gain performance experience through concerts, coffee houses, masterclasses and special events.
- Have the option to pursue music theory as a complement to their vocal study.
- Set personal goals and take ownership of their growth as artists.
We work closely with each student to create a lesson experience that supports their individuality – whether they’re preparing for auditions or Royal Conservatory of Music exams, singing for joy, or simply discovering the power of their own voice. Creativity is celebrated. Confidence is built. And musical excellence is always at the core of what we do.

Artist Within Planner™
Our custom-designed practice and planning tool to help students set goals, track progress, and stay organized and inspired throughout the season.
Two Formal Performances
Celebrate your hard work and growth on stage with these professionally organized concerts. Family and friends are welcome.

Two Coffee House Performances
A relaxed and creative performance setting where students can share their music in a cozy, supportive environment. These events are for students only – Friday, November 14, 2025 and Friday, May 1, 2026.
In-Person or Virtual Lesson Format
Choose the learning format that works best for your schedule and comfort – either in-person at our studio or virtual from the convenience of home.
Please note: Additional fees may include collaborative pianist fees, concert tickets, and optional external fees such as Royal Conservatory of Music examination fees or Musical Festival entry fees.

Are you curious about what it’s like to sing with RISE Children’s Choir? Come and discover the joy, artistry, and connection that come alive when young voices unite.
🎶 The RISE Experience Day is a free, immersive choral experience designed to give young singers a glimpse into the magic of RISE. From warm-ups to harmony, movement to musical storytelling—your child will experience what it feels like to be a part of something truly special.
Led by our passionate and nurturing artistic team, this event is open to singers in Grades JK–12, grouped by age for an inspiring, age-appropriate musical experience.
At the end of the session, families are invited to stay for a 15-minute Q&A, where you’ll meet the team and learn more about the upcoming 2025/2026 season and how to support your young singer on their musical journey.
